MK Aquila ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it — whether you're applying as a candidate, purchasing our training materials, or reaching out as an employer.
1. What We Collect
Application data: name, email, city, country, WhatsApp number, university/current role, track preference, and your resume file.
Purchase data: payment for the US Remote-Ready Package is processed securely by Stripe — we do not directly receive or store your card details.
Employer inquiries: name, company, work email, and the details you share about your hiring need.
Basic site analytics: general, non-identifying traffic data (pages visited, approximate location) to understand how the site is used.
2. How We Use It
To review your application and, if selected, communicate with you about the program.
To deliver purchased training materials and provide access to the Academy.
To respond to employer inquiries and discuss potential engagements.
To improve our website, application process, and training content.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your resume or application details with any third party without your knowledge, except where necessary to consider you for a specific client placement — and even then, only with your understanding that this is the purpose of applying.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Applications and files are processed through Netlify (our hosting provider) and stored in line with their security practices. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — MK Aquila never sees or stores your full card number.
4. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@mkaquila.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Data Protection & Applicable Law
MK Aquila is headquartered in New York, USA, and welcomes applicants from many countries. We aim to handle your data responsibly regardless of where you're based, and we take relevant local regulations seriously:
Pakistan: we take our obligations under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, as amended, seriously, and cooperate fully with Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in the event of any reported misuse of our platform or impersonation of our brand.
United Kingdom: for UK-based users and employers, we aim to handle personal data consistently with UK GDPR principles.
All other jurisdictions: we apply the same data-handling principles described in this policy regardless of your specific location, and will cooperate with valid legal requests from local authorities where required by law.
If you are contacted by someone claiming to represent MK Aquila outside of an @mkaquila.com email address, treat it as suspicious — see Section 6 below.
This section is provided for transparency and is not a substitute for formal legal advice. Data protection obligations may vary by your specific location; consult local counsel if you have jurisdiction-specific concerns.
6. Protecting Yourself From Scams & Impersonation
Important: Recruitment and remote-work scams are unfortunately common, and MK Aquila's name and brand could be impersonated by bad actors targeting job seekers. Please read this carefully.
We will never ask you to pay via personal bank transfer, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or any untraceable method. Our only paid product is the $27 US Remote-Ready Package, processed exclusively through our official Stripe checkout at mkaquila.com.
We will never guarantee you a job or visa in exchange for payment. Any message claiming this is not from us.
Official communication only comes from an @mkaquila.com email address — careers@, hello@, or partnership@. Be cautious of lookalike domains or messages from generic email providers claiming to represent us.
We will never ask for your banking passwords, OTPs, or full financial account details at any stage of the application or training process.
If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from MK Aquila, please forward it to hello@mkaquila.com so we can investigate, and consider reporting it to Pakistan's NCCIA at their official channels if you're based there.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
